Hello world!
November 3, 2025Through My Lens: Favorite Locations
As a photographer in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, I’m lucky to be surrounded by some truly beautiful locations—but a few places hold a special place in my heart. This blog series is all about the locations I love photographing the most, and I’m starting with one that feels especially meaningful: Honeysuckle Hills.
Honeysuckle Hills isn’t just a stunning wedding venue—it is also family owned and offers an incredible variety of backdrops for photographs. Every time I photograph here, I’m reminded why it’s one of my favorite locations in the area.
Because Honeysuckle Hills is an active wedding venue, scheduling sessions here does require a bit of planning. Weddings and events take place throughout the year, so availability can be more limited compared to some outdoor locations. That’s where flexibility and communication become important
For sessions at Honeysuckle Hills, I often recommend my full session package. Having more time gives us the freedom to explore the property without feeling rushed and allows us to make the most of everything this location has to offer.
One of the things I love most about Honeysuckle Hills is the variety. The owner—who also happens to be my amazing mother-in-law—has poured her heart and soul into transforming Honeysuckle Hills into what it is today. Every detail has been thoughtfully created, turning the property into what she calls a photographer’s paradise.
There is a peaceful creek that creates a soft, natural setting, perfect for relaxed and romantic images. A short drive later we have the perfect backdrop to mountain views that bring in that classic Smoky Mountain feel, and if we get there right at sunset it’s even more magical!
Then there’s the rustic, red barn—a favorite for clients who love a more timeless, country-inspired look. The textures and wood photograph beautifully and work well for couples, families, and even portraits.
What makes Honeysuckle Hills truly special is how easily we can move from one setting to another. With enough time, your gallery can feel like it was taken at multiple locations, all within one session. Another plus is that is conveniently a 10 minute drive from the parkway in Pigeon Forge.
This venue is ideal for clients who want variety, natural beauty, and a setting that feels both elegant and welcoming. While it does require a little more planning around events, the results are always worth it.
Honeysuckle Hills is more than just a place I photograph—it’s a place where meaningful moments are captured, surrounded by some of the best scenery East Tennessee has to offer. I’m always excited when a session here is on my calendar, and I can’t wait to share more favorite locations in this series.
